The US Careers website is a service offering of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (PwC US), the US member firm of the PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) global network of member firms. Each PwC member firm is a separate legal entity. This statement sets forth the privacy practices that PwC US will follow with respect to the privacy of users and the information contained within this site. By submitting identifying data as a visitor to our US on-line application website (“website”), you are agreeing to PwC US' use of such data as described in this privacy statement.

"We," "us," or “our” in this Privacy Statement means, in relation to your personal data, PwC US is the controller of that personal data.

"You" in this Privacy Statement means you as an individual.

1.What information is collected?

We collect personally identifiable information that is specifically and voluntarily provided by you in order for you to create and maintain a Talent Profile with us. By creating a Talent Profile, you will be able to tell us about your academic background and career interests; submit your resume to our US recruiters; provide us with a means to keep in touch with you; and learn more about our firm. "Personal data" means information about you such as your name, address, telephone number, email address, your academic background, previous work experiences, your preferred work style, level of experience with certain activities, and other personal career interests. Personal information may be collected about you either:


i.     directly from you. Where you are asked to provide such data when you create a Talent Profile or respond to other information requests; or

ii.    indirectly, such as through the use of cookies (as described below), to track your use of certain pages of the website (e.g. your internet protocol address), or other technical means to monitor your use of the site.

It is PwC US' policy to limit the information collected to only the minimum information required to complete your request. We do not require that sensitive data fields be completed in order for you to submit a Talent Profile. However, if you do decide to provide this information about yourself, you do so voluntarily. By providing us with this sensitive data about yourself, you consent to our using that data for the purposes established on the website, in line with U.S. equal employment opportunity (EEO), affirmative action obligations, and other relevant employment laws and regulations.

Information you submit about your ethnicity, race, gender, veterans and/or disability statuses will be kept confidential, except that (1) supervisors and/or Partners/Principals may be informed regarding restrictions on the work or duties of individuals with disabilities, and regarding necessary accommodations; (2) first aid and safety personnel may be informed, when and to the extent appropriate, if conditions might require emergency treatment; and (3) government officials engaged in enforcing applicable laws may be informed.

Personal data will also, subject to applicable law, be disclosed when such disclosure is required by law through subpoena, search warrant or other forms of legal process.

To establish the completeness and accuracy of information routinely provided to government agencies concerning U.S. affirmative action and equal employment opportunity obligations, and for diversity reporting purposes, we ask that you complete the voluntary EEO questionnaire in your Talent Profile. Your election whether to provide information will not subject you in any way to adverse treatment by the firm.

2. How will personal data be used?


Your personal data will be used to allow us to review and process your Talent Profile in connection with career opportunities that may be of interest to you. When you visit this website, personal data may be collected and processed to allow you to:

·         Apply for positions that may be of interest to you;

·         Submit information about your prior work experiences and educational background;

·         Advance through our recruiting process; and

·         Receive information about recruitment events and other career information

The information above will be used by us to evaluate your qualifications for career postings to which you have applied or for which you have expressed an interest. We will also use the information to search for opportunities that may be suited for you and to send you information related to recruitment activities and/or career information. Should you be extended an offer and accept your offer with PwC US, the information collected from this site may also be used to populate our Human Resource Information Systems so that we can process your information as a PwC US employee. Certain business contact information (e.g., name, position, line of service, referral source) may also be used in firm directories, resource planning systems, and communications. Voluntary EEO data collected are used for purposes required under US federal employment laws and regulations, as well as diversity reporting, and not for individual hiring decisions. Unless specifically requested by you, PwC US will not use personal data collected from our websites to facilitate unsolicited marketing activities.

3. How can I access or change my personal data or withdraw my consent?


You can update the data you provided by editing your profile when you sign into the US Careers website where you originally submitted your personal data.When you create a profile, you will create your own user name and password which will allow you to update your personal information within your profile at any time. Should you accept an offer with the firm, you will be able to update the personal information you provided through internal processes and resources.

4. Will personal data be transferred to another country?


By creating a Talent Profile, you are submitting your information to PwC US for access its US recruiters, Partners/Principals and staff involved in the Sourcing process. Personal data collected by us will not be transferred to other PwC firms in the global network. Personal data may be transferred to third parties contracted by PwC US which operate in other countries. Data transferred for such processing will be used only for the purposes identified in this Privacy Statement.

5. Is personal data disclosed to other entities?


Our third party vendors, who will host this website and/or other recruiting technologies, will collect your data and information related to job postings. Data will only be disclosed under the following circumstances:

·         To process the data for the purposes identified in this Privacy Statement, which is done by certain people within PwC US or contracted by PwC US (e.g., people whose jobs it is to process your application or inquiries);

·         To facilitate the recruiting process through the use of other third-party vendors; and

·         To meet U.S. regulatory compliance and related disclosures under applicable laws, including relevant employment laws and regulations, subpoenas, search warrants or other forms of legal process.

We do not collect or compile personally identifying information for dissemination or sale to outside parties for consumer marketing purposes, or host mailings on behalf of third parties.

6. How long is personal data retained?


Your personal data will be retained only as long as it is reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Statement and in compliance with the firm’s data retention policies. When personal data are retained, PwC US assumes responsibility for keeping an accurate record of the information once you have submitted and verified the data. We do not assume responsibility for verifying the ongoing accuracy of personal information in your Talent Profile.

7. How is personal data secured?


PwC US and its third party vendors have implemented generally accepted standards of technology, including Secure Socket Layer (SSL), and operational security in order to protect personal information from loss, misuse, alteration or destruction. However, the nature of the Internet is, of course, such that the data may flow over networks without appropriate security measures and may be accessed and used by unauthorized persons. Only authorized PwC US Partners/Principals and employees, and other third-party personnel, where appropriate, are provided access to personally identifiable information and these individuals have agreed to maintain the confidentiality of this information.

8. Are cookies used on the website?


Cookies may be used on some pages of the PwC US Careers portal and website. "Cookies" are small text files placed on your computer that assists us in providing a more customized website experience. For example, a cookie can be used to store registration information in an area of the site so that a user does not need to re-enter it on subsequent visits to that area. A cookie can also hold a variety of information, including the number of times the user has accessed the site, registration information, and the number of times a user has seen a particular advertisement on the site.
